Camping
la Vetta
....
N 41°37'58,30"
/ E 9°17'36,80"
Is
in the south of Corsica 4 km north of
Porto-Vecchio
in the village of Trinité
de Porto-Vecchio on the
RN 198
which is the main route
between Bastia and
Porto-Vecchio.To
come to Corsica you have two options: by car and boat
or by plane. The ferry crossings leave from Marseille,
Nice and Toulon in France but also from Italy. Many
ports are connected to the mainland in Corsica.
To come
to the camping we recommend you
try to arrive in
Porto-Vecchio
or
Bastia
since even though the other ports may not be as distant,
the roads aren't as fast!
Sometimes,
to make a saving, it can be worth driving a few more
miles to catch a ferry from Italy. Watch out for the
NGV boats (navire ŕ grande vitesse - fast ferry) leaving
from both France and Italy since if there's any sort
of bad weather, there's a good chance they won't be
able to leave whereas the more tradional ferries do.
If you come
by
plane,
Figari
airport is very useful since it's close to Porto-Vecchio
and the camping
(half-an-hour).
I would add though that to really explore all that Corsica
has to offer, it is best to have a
vehicle
since public transport is close to non-existent.
